Temporary Traffic Management in Nha Trang from Sept 1^st 2016

To reduce the traffic congestion in Nha Trang, on August 17^th, 2016, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee issued new directives for temporary traffic management, one way systems and No Stop zones at many roads in the city. The new regulations are considered temporary in order to gauge their effectiveness, before a specific set of rules will be formally put in place.

1. New one-way routes (Apply for all vehicles)

Group A (Tourist Area)

• Hung Vuong Street: from the junction of Hung Vuong & Tran Quang Khai => the intersection of Hung Vuong & Le Thanh Ton
• Nguyen Thien Thuat Street: from the junction of Nguyen Thien Thuat & Le Thanh Ton to the junction of Tran Quang Khai & Tue Tinh.
• Biet Thu Street: from the junction of Biet Thu & Tran Phu to the junction of Biet Thu & Nguyen Thien Thuat

Group B

• Ngo Gia Tu Street: from the junction of Ngo Gia Tu & Phu Dong to the Le Thanh Ton  roundabout 
• Nguyen Trai Street: from the Le Thanh Ton roundabout to the intersection of Cao Ba Quat & Phu Dong

Group C

• Phan Chu Trinh & Ly Thanh Ton Street (Extended): from Le Loi roundabout to Quang Trung roundabout
• Hoang Van Thu Street: from the junction of Hoang Van Thu & Tran Duong to the junction of Hoang Van Thu & Han Thuyen

2. New one-way routes (Applicable ONLY to CARS)

One-way traffic following this direction

• Cu Huan Street: All kinds of cars are only allowed to move in a single direction from the junction of Cu Huan & Pham Van Dong to the junction of 2/4 & Thap Ba.
• Thap Ba Street:

+ All kinds of cars (Under 16 seats) are only allowed to move in a single direction from the junction of Thap Ba & 2/4 to the junction of Thap Ba & Pham Van Dong.

+ Prohibit all kinds of cars which have less than 16 seats.

3. New no-stop and no parking routes (Only apply for cars – All kinds of cars)
4. No Parking

• Tran Phu Street: From the junction of Tran Phu & Nguyen Binh Khiem to the junction of Tran Phu & Hoang Dieu (both sides).
• Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street (NTMK) : From the junction of NTMK & Tran Nhat Duat to the junction of NTMK & Tran Phu (both sides)

1. No parking & No Stopping

• Tran Phu Street: From Bui Thi Xuan Secondary School to Nha Trang Port
• Vong Nui Chut Street: From Nha Trang Port to Vinpearl Area (both sides)
• 2/4 Street: from the junction of 2/4 & Ngo Den to Xom Bong Bridge (both sides)

4. New no-left turn routes (Only apply for cars)

– Tran Phu Street:

1. On the way going from the city center to Hoang Dieu Street

• All kinds of cars under 9 seats are not allowed to turn left at the junctions of Tran Phu and these following streets:

+ Ly Tu Trong

+ Nguyen Chanh

+ Nguyen Thi Minh Khai (NTMK)

+ Biet Thu

+ Tran Quang Khai

+ Tue Tinh

+ The road going to the old airport (Alley 86 – Tran Phu Street)

1. On the way going from Cau Da Port to the city center

• All kinds of cars under 9 seats are not allowed to turn left at the junctions of Tran Phu and these following streets: 

+ The old airport

+ Tue Tinh

+ Nguyen Thi Minh Khai

+ Nguyen Chanh

+ Ly Tu Trong

• Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street: All kinds of cars (under 24 seats) are not allowed to turn left to NTMK Street at the junctions of NTMK and these following streets:

+ To Hien Thanh

+ Hong Bang

+ Trinh Phong

+ Le Dai Hanh

+ Me Linh

+ Alley 75 NTMK

5. New limited circulation routes for cars

• Tran Phu Street: All of the taxis going on Tran Phu Street (from the junction of Tran Phu & Nguyen Binh Khiem to the junction of Tran Phu & Biet Thu), are not allowed to move further than 3 junctions.
• Vong Nui Chut Street (From Nha Trang Port to Vinpearl Area): All of cars (more than 7 seats) can only pick up and leave the guests at the Port.
