Nha Trang is a coastal city, capital of Khanh Hoa province, on the south central coast of Vietnam. 1280km from Hanoi and 448 from Ho Chi Minh City. It is a metropolitan area of 251km² and has a population of 500.000 people. It is a famous destination for locals as well as international travellers, a well-known place for its beaches and scuba diving.
The city has a tropical climate, with an annual average temperature of 26 degrees, a short wet season, from September to December and the lowest level of humidity in all the Vietnam.
The city is surrounded by nature, luxuriant mountains, isolated islands and a white sand beach of 7 km, with deep, warm and turquoise blue water all year round.
Nha Trang Bay, one of the 29 most beautiful bays in the world ! It is a paradisiac place, where you will discover the Vietnamese culture, friendly people, incredible food particularly seafood and magnificent landscapes.
You can appreciate many activities and visits in the city. Nha Trang is mainly known for its diving spots, with an incredible macro life and coral reefs. However, there are lots of water activities, for example kayaking, swimming, surfing or sailing. You can also discover Tai Chi, participate to cooking class or go to the cinema. You can discover famous historical places, the tall white Buddha in the Long Son Pagoda, the Po Nagar towers, Bao Dai villa, the oceanographic museum and Vinpearl (a water park).
Concerning the food, you can eat every type of meal in the city. Discover Vietnamese food of course, especially fresh seafood (lobsters, crabs or fishes), banh can (snack with rice floor, eggs, meat or seafood), or salagane nest (a precious product reserved only for kings before). But there are also French, Asian, Italian or even Greek restaurants. You can eat for 25,000 dong in local restaurants or for 300,000 dong in luxurious places.
