Sunday Brunch at Amiana Resort
On Sunday, 12th February, Amiana Resort hosted its 2nd Sunday Brunch for locals and expats to while away the Sunday afternoon. The expatriates have long been crying out for something interesting and unique to do on the weekend that can also accommodate the children, and it is safe to say that the team at Amiana put on a spectacular day of dining and entertainment.
Located at the end the northern peninsula just outside the city, Amiana has a perfect blend of class and elegance combined with a relaxed and jovial atmosphere. The sprawling outdoor restaurant has a majestic view of the bay along with the biggest outdoor swimming pool in Nha Trang (seawater) and a smaller infinity pool of fresh water.
Children are well catered for, happily spending the time making sandcastles on the beach or swimming in the shallow pool with plenty of inflatable toys, armbands and a team of vigilant lifeguards to watch over them. There is also a small internal play area full of toys and manned by a nanny for the younger children.
Of course, a Sunday brunch is only as good as the cuisine available, and here Amiana has truly set the standard. The countless tables showcase a vast array of the best in local and international food. The salad bar is amply stocked with pre-made and “make your own” salads full of fresh produce. This is backed up by a range on homemade bread, plenty of imported cheeses and a smorgasbord of cured meats such as beef carpaccio, salami and prosciutto to name but a few.
The seafood choice is utterly delicious. Fresh tuna and salmon sashimi, smoked salmon, fresh juicy oysters and large crabs make up just some of the delectable delights. The shrimp come in various forms including large tiger prawns, boiled or fried in garlic and they are some of the freshest we’ve tasted throughout our culinary travels in Nha Trang. Moreover, there are steamed local fish and squid – a seafood lover’s paradise. If a Sunday roast is more to your liking, do try the leg of lamb or crispy roast chicken complete with all the favorite trimmings such as roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and gravy.
For dessert, those with a sweet tooth will be more than satisfied with the ice creams and various cakes on display to finish off a sumptuous meal.
The great thing about the Buffet Brunch at Amiana is the atmosphere. The restaurant was full of expats and locals who made the trip to hang out, eat some great food and enjoy a couple of drinks. A DJ played throughout the day and time passed slowly as everything gorged themselves on all the fantastic food. Free flow beer and wine, or free flow soft drinks are included in the ticket price, so as the alcohol began to take hold, the atmosphere became more energetic.
The Sunday Brunch at Amiana is held twice monthly, and the next event is Sunday 26th February. Ticket prices are 650,000 vnd per person with free flow soft drinks or 950,000 vnd including free flow beer and wine between 12pm-3pm. Kids under 6 are free of charge and over 6 years old at half price. If you are looking for a relaxed and delightful afternoon with great food, a spectacular location and great conversation, look no further than the Sunday Brunch at Amiana Resort.
