Novotel Nha Trang launches “Linens for Life”
On June 30th, 2017, Novotel Nha Trang introduced its community-oriented program – “Linens for Life”, for the first time in Nha Trang City.
With the supports of SealedAir and CCIHP (Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population) the hotel donated 2,447 used linen items including blankets, bed sheets, pillows and pillow covers.
Mr. Remi Faubel, the hotel General Manager said “This is a very helpful activity, personally I like this idea. The hotel has a lot of used linens and fortunately, we can give away and people can give them a second life. This will help to reduce waste to the environment as well as to support the poor in the remote areas. You know, Novotel is a member of AccorHotels Group. Therefore, we are not only taking care of our guests, partners but also the local communities where our hotels live in”.
All of these giveaway linens will be re-used or re-made as clothing for the poor. The receivers are the Medical Center of Khanh Son District and Khanh Vinh district.
According to Mr. Pham Vu Thien, Deputy Director of CCIHP, besides the Soap for Hope that has been launched by Novotel Nha Trang before, Linens for Life is also one of the initiatives by SealedAir and has been successfully implemented in the world. In Vietnam, in 2016 the program was launched in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. 2017 is the year to launch within Hanoi and Nha Trang.
