Dam Mon Penninsula – a true hidden gem
When we are all exhausted of the hustle and bustle of city life, a strong desire to seduce ourselves with pure relaxation is kind of predictable. This month, one of our frequent readers, Phi Dang, who has a huge passion for travelling, shares with us an unforgettable trip to explore the beautiful and breathtaking Peninsula of Dam Mon.
Even though Dam Mon Peninsula is still a hidden gem, it is highly appreciated by the World Tourism Organization (OTM) as an ideal destination for developing eco-tourism, as it has huge tourism potential.
Located in Van Phong Bay, Van Thanh Commune, Van Ninh District, Dam Mon Peninsula is about 80km north of Nha Trang. With an abundance of natural scenery, there’s more to this laid-back wonderland than stunning shorelines or crystal clear water. Visitors can marvel at this wild kingdom with its imposing sand dunes and more than 20 small islands. It’s where you can discover the wonderful beauty of natural coral reefs, virgin forests as well as visit different fishing villages, or just learn more about the daily life of the Dang Ha ethnic minority community who reside here.
Having a huge total acreage of 128 km2, with many nice beaches such as Ong Hao, Xuan Dung, Me, Ong Co, Dam Mon is a perfect choice not only for natural adventure, but it is also ideal for organizing collective activities.
Recently, restaurants have been opened in Dam Mon to provide visitors basic necessary services (Food & Drink). Besides that, the owners of these restaurants have also created different small roads for visitors to access their properties from the highway, or get to the myriad of hidden beaches. This has helped it attract more and more visitors and increase the overall experience for everyone. Why not try it for yourself?
