MONKEY FESTIVAL 2016

On June 04, 2016, the 4th annual Monkey Festival will take place on Hon Lao Island (Monkey Island). It is one of the biggest annual events held by Long Phu Tourist Company.

With more than 1200  monkeys inhabiting the island, the purpose of the event is to encourage a love of nature in everyone, and raise awareness about environmental protection. This Festival promises to attract a large number of visitors with a plenty of interesting activities:

7:30 am – 8:00 am: Welcome performance with “chicken dance” of Monkeys and Disney animals

8:30 am – 8:45 am: Canoeing and Parachute jump

9:00 am: “Monkeys &; Friends” Street Festival

9:15 am – 10:00 am: Fruit buffet for monkeys; Monkeys play music ; Monkeys do Magic ; Monkeys play

Sports ; Monkey dance

10:00 am-11:00 am: Boat racing contest

1:00 pm – 4:00 pm:

– Meet the artist Hieu Hien

– “Colors of the sea” flashmob contest

– Game show

During the festival, more than 2 tons of tropical fruits (bananas, apples, guavas, tomatoes, pineapples…) will be put on the table of Hoa Qua Son to treat the monkeys to a delicious buffet.
